Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Wolves midfielder Kevin Foley believes criticism of the team's style of play will motivate the players in their battle to stay in the Barclays Premier League.
Mick McCarthy's troops have been in the spotlight since Fulham skipper Danny Murphy accused them, along with Stoke and Blackburn, of employing strong-arm tactics in matches.
Wolves skipper Karl Henry did little to counter that view with his horror tackle on Jordi Gomez at Wigan a fortnight ago, but Foley nevertheless maintains the accusations have been unfair.
"I think people have been ganging up on us a little bit," Foley said ahead of tomorrow clash with West Ham at Molineux.
"But we will work together and, if people on the outside want to say things, then fine. It will only make us stronger.
"It just turns into a case of us sticking together as a club. The fans are a big part of that as well."
Foley insists the tackling debate will soon blow over, saying: "The media need something to talk about now and again.
"This month it's tackling, next month will probably be diving or something else.
"We just roll with the punches."
