New recruit Virgil van Dijk will make his Southampton debut in this afternoon's visit to West Bromwich Albion.

The Dutch centre-half replaces Maya Yoshida, who drops to the bench.

Ronald Koeman has also made two further changes from the team that started in their last Premier League fixture against Norwich City, with Victor Wanyama and Jay Rodriguez coming in for Sadio Mané and Oriel Romeu respectively.

West Brom make four changes from the side that lost to Stoke City before the international break.

New signing Jonny Evans comes straight into the side, replacing Jonas Olsson in the centre of defence.

Chris Brunt replaces the departed Joleon Lescott, while Calum McManaman and Rickie Lambert get the nod ahead of James Morrison and James McClean.
