Your support makes all the difference.Arsene Wenger yesterday indicated a change of policy concerning the January transfer window, by confirming he is keeping an open mind on whether to bring in new faces in the New Year.
Wenger said he will buy new players if he feels they are needed, adding: "If we find the players who can give something more to the team, we will do it."
The statement, given in an interview to Al Jazeera TV, is markedly different to an interview he gave in November, in which he said: "My policy is to stick to the squad I have, we will not be on the market."
The U-turn suggests Wenger has accepted his squad needs strengthening. He has already announced the club have signed 18-year-old Japanese striker Ryo Miyaichi in January.
Striker Nicklas Bendtner is confident the club can end their trophy drought this season. "We have a great chance in the Carling Cup which I hope we will take full advantage of. It looks positive," he said.
Bendtner has recovered from a groin injury but has yet to start a Premier League game. The Danish international said: "I want to get back to 100 per cent, get back into the squad and take my chances when I get them to prove I should be there."
