From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The rivalry between Stoke City and Arsenal has grown more and more intense over the years, so no wonder Peter Crouch celebrated his side's victory against the Gunners with a bit of crowd surfing at a Kasabian gig on Saturday night.
Crouch scored the opening goal for Stoke inside twenty seconds at the Britannia on Saturday, helping his side cruise to a 3-0 score line at halftime. Arsenal replied with two goals in the second half but it wasn't enough to overcome Mark Hughes' men.
Evidently taking his cue from England captain Wayne Rooney - who has revealed himself as a bit of music lover in recent weeks - Crouch was filmed celebrating victory by letting his hair down at a Kasabian gig in Brixton on Saturday evening.
Crouch has obviously grown out of his robot dance phase, instead deciding that climbing on people's shoulders, crowd surfing and jumping around like crazy are all more acceptable ways to enjoy yourself.
The videos that have emerged of Crouch in Brixton show just how tall the striker is compared to your average Kasabian fan, towering about those around him; when he raises his arm in the air, it's like a giant selfie stick.
The Kasabian concert on Saturday was the last date of a five-night residency at London's O2 Academy Brixton.
