From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Tottenham will look to take another step towards securing third place when they welcome West Ham to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs have won all four of their games at their new stadium, and have kept a clean sheet in each of their league games since its opening.
The hosts have also netted eight times in that period, the latest of which came through Christian Eriksen’s 88th-minute winner against Brighton on Tuesday.
That win saw Mauricio Pochettino’s side extend their lead over Chelsea in fourth, but only six points separate them from sixth-place Manchester United.
Meanwhile the Hammers, who sit in 11th, have little to play for aside from trying to put a dent in Spurs’ form book and claiming bragging rights.
Prediction…
Tottenham 3-0 West Ham - Pochettino may have half an eye on Tuesday night but Tottenham’s excellent record at their new stadium sees them enter this London derby as favourites. Spurs’ chances of finishing third have been greatly increased by the slip-ups of their London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea and they will want to consolidate that advantage here.
