Jermain Defoe scored two goals as Tottenham rallied to salvage a point against ten-man Leicester City in a pulsating clash at White Hart Lane. After a Gary Doherty own goal had cancelled out Michael Brown’s opener, Defoe struck his first after 13 minutes before Robbie Keane gave Spurs a two-goal cushion. Les Ferdinand pulled a goal back, before Ben Thatcher and Marcus Bent flipped the scoreline in Leicester’s favour despite the dismissal of James Scowcroft. It took a late strike from the 21 year old Defoe to spare the home crowd too much embarrassment.
