From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Welcome to the Independent's live coverage of Bournemouth's trip to face Tottenham Hotspur with both sides hoping to secure crucial points.

Despite the ever-widening gap to leaders Leicester City, midfielder Dele Alli insists they have belief in their own title bid this season. "We know we are a great team," said the England star.

"We can't let this dishearten us. We've got to keep the form we've had in the Premier League and carry on until the end of the season. If we win the league this will be forgotten.

"It's a bit of a blow for the confidence but it's important that we keep our heads up and in the next game get the three points and get back on track.

"We are second in the league, five points behind Leicester. It's important we don't think about that too much and don't get carried away too much with ourselves.

"It's just about taking each game as it comes and hopefully being up there at the end of the season."
