Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Club captain Michael Dawson has distanced himself from a move away from Tottenham and believes the team can challenge for a place in the top four under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
It has been reported the 30-year-old defender - now fully recovered from the serious ankle injury which saw him miss the end of the 2011-12 season - could leave White Hart Lane this summer following yet another change in the dugout.
Dawson has been linked with moves to both Hull and Crystal Palace, but says his only focus is on helping Spurs progress next season.
Speaking while co-hosting the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT, Dawson said: "I have been at Tottenham for nine and a half years.
"It is a great football club and I have loved every minute of it while I have been here.
"The fans have been superb to me since day one because I have had some ups and downs, like everyone does.
"The expectations are high and the players want to achieve them.
"We want to be in the top four and hopefully next year we will have another push."
