Fernando Torres, the Chelsea striker, insists he bears no grudges towards those Liverpool fans he expects to abuse him when his new side host his old on Sunday, claiming the Anfield public which once adored him does not know the truth behind his £50m move to Stamford Bridge.

Torres's departure from Merseyside was cloaked in acrimony after the Spanish international submitted a transfer request with just 24 hours of the January transfer window left.
