The FA has charged Alexander Hleb with violent conduct following an incident involving Reading defender Graeme Murty during the match on Saturday. If found guilty, the Belarus winger would miss the rest of the season with a three-match ban. Hleb has until 6pm tonight to appeal.
Aston Villa
The striker John Carew has said he could happily see out his career at Villa Park. "I am really happy and proud to be here," said the 28-year-old Norwegian international, who has scored 12 league goals this season. "I could end my career at Villa. I cannot be happier than I am now."
Birmingham City
Manager Alex McLeish remains adamant that the Blues have enough "fighting spirit" to remain in the Premier League. "We'll battle on," he said as the Blues approach Saturday's visit of Liverpool in the bottom three. "We've got to look forward now and keep looking at the teams above us."
Blackburn Rovers
Defender Ryan Nelsen admits the club's slim chance of qualifying for the Intertoto Cup rests on them winning their three remaining games. "The next three are so important and we've basically got to get three wins," the 30-year-old New Zealander said. "At least it means our season won't die out."
Bolton Wanderers
Jlloyd Samuel has called on his team-mates to continue their recent impressive run of form and take something from Saturday's trip to Spurs. "Obviously we knew what situation we were in," he said. "We've got another tough game and hopefully we can go down to Tottenham and nick something."
Chelsea
Claude Makelele says he would welcome new recruits at Stamford Bridge over the summer. "I have read about investment," the midfielder said. "If there are good signings then the team will benefit. The team is very calm and no one is worrying about whether there will be people leaving or not."
Derby County
The manager Paul Jewell has defended his decision to dissolve the Rams' reserve team. "It's nothing to do with cost," Jewell said, "a lot of clubs have the same idea. What I want to do next season is play games behind closed doors, or at our convenience, rather than just fulfilling fixtures."
Everton
The Toffees have confirmed the £2m signing of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Steven Pienaar. The South African international has spent the season on loan at Goodison Park. "Steven has done well for us," manager David Moyes said. "He is one of the reasons our football has improved."
Fulham
Erik Nevland believes the Cottagers can prolong their top-flight stay and win at Manchester City this weekend. "Now we've done it once why can't we do it twice?" the striker said. "It was a great boost that we won away last time and we believe that we can do it, but we have to work hard this week."
Liverpool
Reserve team manager Gary Ablett has praised his side after they came back from a goal down at half-time to beat Wigan 3-1 on Monday. "Sometimes you have to say harsh things to get the message across," he said. "All credit to the boys after that, we got the desired response."
Manchester City
The club have confirmed plans for a 10-day post-season tour to Hong Kong and Thailand. A Thai League All-Star XI will be the first opponents on 17 May before the squad travel to Hong Kong. Sven Goran Eriksson's side will finish the tour by against a South China Invitational XI.
Manchester United
The goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar said he is pleased to rediscover the "normality" of winning trophies at United. "At Ajax I was starting to feel like it was normal to win trophies and play in finals," the 37-year-old said. "But then it dried out. Now I'm pleased to have another chance at United."
Middlesbrough
The former Spanish international Gaizka Mendieta was included in the reserve team squad for last night's match with Manchester City. Meanwhile, Australian international goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has been included on the 21-man shortlist for the Asia Player of the Year.
Newcastle United
Kevin Keegan has praised the determination shown by James Milner as he recovers from a foot injury. "He's done marvellous to get where he is so quickly," the manager said. "He's a fit boy and when he's fully fit he won't need games like some players do, as he will have retained a lot of his fitness."
Portsmouth
The club plan to submit planning applications to build a new training facility in Gosport. If approved, work would start this summer and be completed by the start of the 2009-10 season. "This is fantastic news," the Pompey manager Harry Redknapp said. "The plans look very impressive."
Reading
Steve Coppell has admitted he does not know which 11 players he will pick to face Wigan this weekend as the Royals look to preserve their top-flight status. "It's down to me to choose the best 11," the manager said. "That's my conundrum. There could be significant changes."
Sunderland
The goalkeeper Craig Gordon said the players are not underestimating the importance of Saturday's visit of Middlesbrough. "It's one of the biggest games in the club's recent history," the Scotland international said. "There is so much riding on it, a massive prize for the winners."
Tottenham Hotspur
The Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o has been linked with a move to the club. Spanish newspaper AS claimed the Cameroon international, who has a £120m release clause, held talks with Spurs last week, although Eto'o yesterday claimed he would remain a Barça player next season.
West Ham United
The club will look to retain elder players as "role models" ahead of any rebuilding plans over the summer. "We only plan to sell players that are not close to getting in the team," the chief executive, Scott Duxbury, said. "Experienced players are important in helping young talents develop."
Wigan Athletic
The Latics are to unveil a new club crest ahead of next season. "This has been developed alongside a number of exciting new initiatives," the chief executive, Brenda Spencer, said. "It will help us celebrate the strides we have taken in reaching the highest levels of English football."
