Manager Arsène Wenger has dismissed reports linking Mathieu Flamini with a summer move to Juventus. The French midfielder is out of contract in the summer and has yet to agree to a new deal. "Juventus called me and told me they were not interested in Mathieu," Wenger said.
Aston Villa
Midfielder Moustapha Salifou is enjoying settling into the English game after breaking into the first team with substitute appearances in the last two matches. "I'm going fine," he said. "I've had to wait for an opportunity but that is starting to happen. It's now up to me to seize my chance."
Birmingham City
Midfielder Mauro Zarate has revealed he turned down enquiries from Tottenham and Newcastle when he chose to move to St Andrew's on loan last month. "Once I knew Birmingham wanted me, I did my best to convince the Al-Sadd owners," he said. "I am very happy with my choice."
Blackburn Rovers
Rovers have denied a Football Association charge of failing to control their players and officials during the 1-0 win at Newcastle last month. The club were hit with the charge after an incident involving Morten Gamst Pedersen and Newcastle's Habib Beye. A hearing will be scheduled later this month.
Bolton Wanderers
El-Hadji Diouf has revealed he will leave the Reebok Stadium in the summer. "If Bolton stay in the top division or not, I will not stay next year for sure," the Senegal forward said. "For the moment, four or five clubs are very interested. They come to see me every week. I do not want to reveal their identity, I prefer to make a surprise of it."
Chelsea
The Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has again spoken of his desire to bring back striker Andrei Shevchenko to San Siro. The 31-year-old has struggled for form at the club after joining from Milan in 2006. "I would like Andrei on a performance-related contract," Berlusconi said. "The fans understand this would be ideal for us."
Derby County
Laurent Robert has joined Major League Soccer side Toronto on trial after failing to make an impact at Pride Park. The former Newcastle midfielder joined the Rams in January but has started just three games for the relegated club, his last coming against Birmingham on 2 February.
Everton
The midfielder Phil Jagielka said the Toffees have refused to give up on reaching the Champions League position despite Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Liverpool."The Derby game [next Sunday] is important for us," the 25-year-old said. "We have got to win and hopefully kick-start our season again."
Fulham
Kasey Keller said the club are taking it one game at a time as they look to avoid relegation. "All you can look to is the next game," he said. "We have to try and beat Sunderland [on Saturday]. If we don't beat Sunderland, we have to try to beat Reading and so on. You just have to try to win your next game."
Liverpool
The Reds midfielder Jermaine Pennant was included in the reserve team squad for the match with neighbours Everton last night. The 24-year-old former Arsenal player required surgery after sustaining a stress fracture of his right fibia in October.
Manchester City
Sven Goran Eriksson believes the club must learn to "fight" with opponents if they are to recapture their early season form. "[We] need to change the mentality," he said. "If we can't pass the ball as well as we have done in the past, we at least have to fight as much as our opponents fight."
Manchester United
Paul Scholes has warned his teammates not to concentrate solely on games with Arsenal and Chelsea as they enter the title run-in. "There are other games to win, too," he said. "Games against the likes of West Ham and Wigan are the kind we really should win, but it doesn't always work like that."
Middlesbrough
Gareth Southgate feels Afonso Alves' display during the 1-0 defeat at Chelsea on Sunday showed how the striker is adapting to the English game. "That's the sharpest we've seen him," the Riverside manager said. "He needs that sharpness now and he'll only get that by playing."
Newcastle United
Goalkeeper Steve Harper said Sunday's 4-1 win at Tottenham was the sign of things to come next season. "That was the moment the new Kevin Keegan era really began in earnest," he said. "It was absolutely brilliant, fantastic. It was as good a team display as I've ever been involved in."
Portsmouth
Former Pompey midfielder Darren Anderton believes the club can overcome West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and reach the FA Cup final. "I'm confident they'll make the final," he said. "They've got the experience. As long as they play to their potential, I can't see it being a problem for them."
Reading
Marcus Hahnemann has admitted he is looking forward to the end of the season, so he can undergo an operation on his hand. "I've got a metal plate in my hand," he said. "I have a date in May to have it taken out along with the screws. We have a long off-season so it has time to heal."
Sunderland
Kenwyne Jones said the Black Cats are not underestimating the importance of Saturday's visit to Fulham. "It will be massive, but to a club like Sunderland every game is massive," Jones said. "We've got to remain focused as every game will be hugely important until we're mathematically safe."
Tottenham Hotspur
Reserve team manager Clive Allen said he was pleased with the commitment shown by his side as they beat their Fulham counterparts 3-1 on Monday. "It was a matter of keeping the pressure on," Allen said. "Maintaining the confidence and belief that we could get back into the game."
West Ham United
The former Hammers defender Steve Potts has asked supporters to donate to Children with Leukaemia as he prepares to run the London Marathon next week in aid of the charity. Wigan Athletic
Manager Steve Bruce has admitted he harbours regrets over the end of his time at Birmingham, ahead of the Blues' visit to the JJB this weekend. "I was disappointed with the way things ended," Bruce said. "I don't think that after six years it should have ended like that. It's gone now and my priority is working well for the people at Wigan."
