From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Manchester United welcome back Robin van Persie to their starting line-up while Radamel Falcao starts on the bench.

The Colombian has scored just four times on 19 appearances for the Red Devils despite reportedly being on £265,000-a-week at Old Trafford.

Louis van Gaal, the United manager, also hands starts to Wayne Rooney and Angel di Maria while Daley Blind anchors the midfield once again.

Swansea, on the other hand, are buoyed by the return of Gylfi Sigurdsson after serving a three-match suspension for the red card he picked up against Blackburn.

Wayne Routledge also returns to Gary Monk's side after injury, but Kyle Bartley has been ruled out for six weeks with a knee problem.

Swansea City: Fabianski, Naughton, Fernandez, Williams (C), Taylor, Cork, Shelvey, Ki, Sigurdsson, Routledge, Gomis.

Subs: Tremmel, Rangel, Amat, Britton, Montero, Emnes, Oliveira.

Manchester United: De Gea, McNair, Jones, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Fellaini, Herrera, Di Maria, Rooney, van Persie.

Subs: Valdes, Smalling, Januzaj, Mata, Valencia, Young, Falcao.
