From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. The Black Cats saw their lead eradicated late on by Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic last time out, but they have the chance to move out of the relegation zone if their rivals do them a favour and prevent Norwich from winning their encounter at Carrow Road.
Allardyce brings midfielder Lee Cattermole back into the side with Jack Rodwell dropping to the substitutes’ bench.
West Brom will be looking to make up for their surprise 1-0 loss to Norwich before the international break, and manager Tony Pulis makes two changes with James Chester and Sandro returning to the starting line-up at the expense of Jonas Olsson and Stephane Sesseggnon, with the former named on the substitutes’ bench and the latter missing out with injury.
