From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Mauricio Pochettino has kept faith in the starting line-up which saw Tottenham Hotspur run out 3-0 winners of Manchester United eight days ago.

Jan Vertonghen retains his place in the centre of defence having fully returned from a knee injury. The front four of Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane – which has proved so devastating in recent months – start up top.

Tottenham will be hoping to close the gap on league leaders Leicester City to five points, after the Foxes could only draw against West Ham United on Sunday.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes makes four changes to the team which went down to a 4-1 defeat at Anfield last weekend.

Shay Given, who turns 40-years-old on Wednesday, makes his Premier League debut for the club in goal.

Marc Muniesa comes in for the suspended Erik Pieters, while Glenn Whelan and Marko Arnautovic replaces Phil Bardsley and Peter Crouch respectively.
