At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Louis van Gaal is under an enormous amount of pressure after winning just three of his last 13 matches, a run that saw the club crash out of the Champions League.
The Dutch coach, who may only have until the end of the year to save his job with Jose Mourinho lurking, called this match a 'must-win' in the build up to it.
He said that in an interview after walking out of a press conference, accusing journalists of being disrespectful.
• Van Gaal has decided to drop club captain Wayne Rooney, making one change from the team that lost to Norwich City last week.
• Ander Herrera comes in for Rooney, with Anthony Martial to move up front
• Bastian Schweinsteiger serves the last game of his ban but Matteo Darmian has not recovered in time to play - he could face Chelsea on Monday.
• Geoff Cameron returns in midfield for Stoke, coming in for Marco van Ginkel
• Marc Muniesa, Stephen Ireland and Peter Crouch all still unavailable
