The alterations from Sunday's 2-0 loss at Arsenal saw Steven Naismith, Aaron Lennon and Darron Gibson - making his first league start since May 2013 - replace Ross Barkley, Kevin Mirallas and Muhamed Besic, all of whom were substitutes.
Potters boss Mark Hughes made two adjustments from his side's 1-0 win over Hull on Saturday, with the weekend's match winner Peter Crouch taking over from the benched Mame Biram Diouf and Charlie Adam coming in for the injured Stephen Ireland for a maiden league start in 2015.
Everton: Howard, Garbutt, Stones, Jagielka, Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, Gibson, Lennon, Naismith, Lukaku.
Stoke: Begovic, Bardsley, Wollscheid, Wilson, Pieters, Nzonzi, Whelan, Walters, Adam, Moses, Crouch.
