Stoke frustrated at Robert Huth suspension in light of Callum McManaman incident

Stoke assistant manager Dave Kemp believes it was an injustice for defender Robert Huth to be banned for “a flailing arm” while Wigan's Callum McManaman escaped with a horror tackle.

The Potters centre-back was given a retrospective three-match suspension on the basis of video evidence after catching Fulham's Philippe Senderos in the face a month ago.

However, McManaman's knee-high tackle on Massadio Haidara went unpunished as the Football Association deemed one of the match officials saw the incident but did not take action at the time.

"It's fantastic to have Huthy back and available again," Kemp told The Sentinel.

"Seeing him miss three games for a flailing arm - and then seeing nothing for what happened with the Wigan player - it adds to the injustice of it all."

Huth will return to face Everton at Goodison Park this weekend.
