Your support makes all the difference.The Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacios believes the club can be hauled up the Premier League with the help of Harry Redknapp's magic.
Spurs were bottom when Redknapp took over in October but they are now within sight of the top half with 10 matches remaining and have been bolstered by Palacios's arrival from Wigan in January, along with the return of Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Pascal Chimbonda. Redknapp has been happy with his new recruits, who were all unavailable for the Carling Cup final against Manchester United earlier this month but can help Spurs climb the table.
"It's lovely when a manager gives you positive feedback about your game and it goes for the rest of the players in the squad – everyone likes to hear that and, obviously, we can improve ourselves with the manager's help," Palacios said. "We are in a bit of a low position but we have good-enough players to improve on it. That is what we're all aiming for."
Redknapp has plenty of options in midfield, with Palacios, Jermaine Jenas and Didier Zokora competing for two spots. Tom Huddlestone is also in the squad but has been linked with a summer move to Newcastle due to a lack of first-team starts.
Honduras international Palacios, a £14m signing, is virtually picking himself after a good start to his Spurs career. "The fans have been very positive and I'll be working very hard to keep that going," the 24-year-old said.
There are hopes of the club captain, Ledley King, playing in the remaining games this season as there are no midweek matches scheduled, leaving the centre-back enough time to rest his knee. "I don't want to jinx myself, but that's my aim," he said. "We've 10 games left and I would be delighted if I was involved in all of them. That would take me to over 30 games this season, which I would be happy with."
