Perry Suckling, from Tottenham's academy, has been working with Paul Robinson and Radek Cerny since Hans Segers left the club following the departure of Ramos's predecessor as manager, Martin Jol, in October. Robinson and Cerny have both been guilty of high-profile errors since Ramos's appointment.
Tottenham's assistant manager, Gus Poyet, said last week that the Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni was a possible target for the club. Reports from Spain suggest that the Cameroon international has set his sights on a move to White Hart Lane.
Ramos has told his goalkeepers that they are like outfield players in the squad and will be dropped if they do not perform. Robinson is the first choice, ahead of the Uefa Cup tie with PSV Eindhoven at White Hart Lane tomorrow. "It's a massive game and one all players want to play in," Robinson said yesterday. "I'm sure we surprised a few people by winning the Carling Cup and there is no reason why we can't do the same in the Uefa Cup."
Spurs are hopeful that their captain, Ledley King, will be fit to face the Dutch champions. The central defender Jonathan Woodgate could also return, after spraining his ankle in the Carling Cup final.
