From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. The dark clouds are gathering ever more above Norwich City boss Chris Hughton ahead of Saturday’s trip to the Hawthorns. Wednesday night’s 5-1 mauling at the hands for Liverpool’s Luis Saurez at Anfield has done nothing to silence the doubters of the Canaries’ manger.

Perhaps now is the perfect time for struggling Norwich, who have already conceded 21 times on the road this season, to play West Brom though. The Baggies’ form has taken a dip of late after their promising start to the season, with two draws and two defeats in their last 4 games.

Both teams enter a period of slightly more straight forward fixtures over the coming weeks and both, especially Norwich who are loitering just two places above the relegation zone, will be looking to climb the table and to relative safety before the festive season’s onslaught.
