From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

West Brom will be hoping that the players are buoyed by a managerial change as they play for the first time since relieving Steve Clarke of his managerial duties after the 1-0 loss at Cardiff.

The Baggies are aiming to end a run of six games without a win, however, the omens are not great. They have failed to win any of their last three ties against Hull and have lost their last two games at home. The Midlands outfit are currently 16th in the Barclays Premier League, two points above the relegation zone, and in desperate need of a win to revitalise their campaign.

Hull will travel to West Brom certainly the more confident of the two sides boasting a healthy league form of only one defeat in their last four games. Steve Bruce’s side have been the more solid of the two teams this season. Hull have only conceded 19 goals this term, three less than West Brom. A win for the Tigers will please Bruce as his side have failed to pick up three points in any of their last five Premier League games away from home.

Nicolas Anelka, Victor Anichebe and Ben Foster remain doubts for West Brom after spells out on the sidelines. Hull meanwhile will be without long term absentees Stephen Quinn, Sone Aluko and Joe Dudgeon.
