From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers returns to his former club once more, having spent two years at The Liberty Stadium prior to his move to Merseyside in 2012. Liverpool will be looking to record a fifth straight league win as their 2015 renaissance has taken them to the cusp of a Champions League spot.

Swansea, meanwhile, have enjoyed a mixed bag of results as of late with Bafetimbi Gomis failing to fill the void left by the departure of Manchester City-bound Wilfried Bony in January.

Icelandic playmaker has created 46 goalscoring chances in 19 appearances this season.

Liverpool are unbeaten in 13 Premier League games.

CLASSIC MOMENT:

Swansea 2-2 Liverpool - 2012

Former Red Jonjo Shelvey proved to be hero and villain for both sides in a bizarre encounter as he was involved in all four goals during a 2-2 draw at the Liberty Stadium in September 2013. Not only did he open the scoring and set up Michu’s equaliser, but he seemingly forgot that he had swapped teams in the summer when he played in both Daniel Sturridge and Victor Moses with stray back-passes.
