From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Norwich will be out for revenge when Martin Jol’s Fulham side visit Carrow Road on Saturday, with the opening-day 5-0 drubbing still fresh in the Canaries minds. With the two sides level on 28 points, a win for either team will see them edge away from the threat of relegation. Despite home advantage, Norwich haven’t beaten Fulham since 1986 in the old Division 2.
The East Anglian side have not won a league game since December 15, and having taken just three points since then, they must be looking over their shoulder at a relegation dogfight should their form not improve. Manager Chris Hughton may give a debut to new loan signing Kei Kamara, with the Sporting Kansas striker joining Norwich till the end of the season.
Fulham go into the game after a calamitous 1-0 defeat to league leaders Manchester United. Approaching half-time, Craven Cottage was plunged into darkness – forcing the players off until power could be restored – but once the game restarted, Wayne Rooney’s 78th minute winner meant Fulham’s hard work was for nothing. Despite the loss, Jol will still expect his side to come away with at least a point from the game.
KICK-OFF: Saturday, 3pm.
