Defeat for Everton yesterday means Brendan Rodgers' side can close to within three points of their Merseyside rivals with victory tonight.
Daniel Sturridge is a doubt but Raheem Sterling is back to full fitness and Philippe Coutinho could make his debut. However tonight will be all about Jamie Carragher, who will be in front of the Reds fans for the first time since announcing he will retire at the end of the season.
For West Brom, it’ll be interesting to see if Peter Odemwingie makes an appearance. The striker has been disciplined for his bizarre transfer deadline day behaviour and is free to be selected.
While Odemwingie is an unlikely source for inspiration, the Baggies need something after a run of of five defeats in their last six games.

West Brom can complete the league double over Liverpool for the first time since 1966/67 – they beat Liverpool 3-0 earlier in the season.
Troubled striker Peter Odemwingie scored the only goal when these sides met at Anfield last season. The Nigerian also scored in the league victory back in August.
Liverpool have won their last three league games at Anfield, without conceding a single goal.
Lucas Leiva will be make his 200th Liverpool appearance if he features tonight.
West Brom are joined only by Reading in their inability to keep a clean sheet away from home this season.
