From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

This weekend in the Premier League fans are being treated to not one, but two derby matches and both will be live on TV.

The first of the weekend is the battle for bragging rights on Merseyside, Liverpool vs Everton. The match at Anfield kicks off at 12.45pm and can be seen on BT Sport 1.

There are six 3pm kick-offs on Saturday, none of which can be shown on television. Among those in action are Manchester United at home to West Ham, Chelsea at home to Aston Villa and Manchester City's trip to Hull.

Arsenal vs Tottenham, the second derby of the weekend, is the late game on Saturday and can be seen on Sky Sports 1 at 5.30pm.

There is just one game on Sunday, West Brom vs Burnley. The game at the Hawthorns can be seen on Sky Sports 1, with the match kicking off at 4pm.

There is also a Monday night fixture, again on Sky Sports 1. The 8pm kick-off will feature Stoke City vs Newcastle United.
