Sunderland did Jose Mourinho's side a generous favour when the Black Cats stumbled in a 2-2 draw with Manchester City on their title quest on Wednesday. As the Citizens drifted four and six points from Chelsea and Liverpool respectively, the West Londoners are lining up to turn the tables on the Reds with a home win against the relegation-threatened side.

Gus Poyet's team would need a miracle to survive another year in the top-flight and Samir Nasri's late equaliser took two precious points away from them in a glance.

Sunderland emerged victorious from their last match against Chelsea - the thrilling league cup tie in December when they progressed to the semi-finals through an extra-time winner. But the Blues' are likely to enter this one with greater motivation.
