The Swans will have to try to work their magic to secure points in the Premier League this Saturday, in what looks like a difficult away game against Aston Villa.

Both teams have been out of luck this Boxing Day. After a valiant match against Chelsea, the Swans were left out in the cold with a 1-0 defeat, whereas Villa’s home game against Crystal Palace resulted in a late loss.

For now, Swansea might have a slight upper hand sitting two places above Aston Villa in the league table. However, the Swans will have to make do in their next match without injured goalkeeper Michel Vorm, who has just had a knee operation, and star striker Michu, who will undergo ankle surgery next week.

After four defeats in the last four matches, Lambert’s men will have to step up their game against Swansea if they are to climb higher than their current standing of 13th.

Brad Guzan’s saving prowess will be in more demand than ever, and the atmosphere at Villa Park will undoubtedly influence players, with home fans likely to be impatient if they don’t see an early goal.
