From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Jamie Vardy's 92th-minute strike gave the Foxes a deserved win after coming back from 2-1 down to steal victory in dramatic fashion at the Hawthorns.
David Nugent drew them level, after Darren Fletcher's headed opener, before Craig Gardener resumed the Baggies' lead before half-time only for Robert Huth to head home after 80 minutes.
Leicester remain bottom but are now only three points from safety after recording their first back-to-back league wins since September.
Goals from Esteban Cambiasso and Andy King gave them victory over West Ham United last weekend.
This result gives them hope of becoming only the third team to avoid relegation from the Premier League after being bottom a Christmas, but Pearson called for calm.
He said: "It was an exceptional goal (from Vardy) but we can't get carried away. It's great to get back-to-back wins but we still have an awful lot to do.
"We have had some occasions of late, especially in away games, where we don't feel we have had things go our way. It's nice to make things go our way.
"We weren't very pleased with ourselves in the first half because in the situation we're in at the moment you never want to come off the field with regrets.
"The players were frustrated with themselves in the first half. We didn't quite get going. We gave a side who looked to be a little nervy themselves a little cushion.
"The second-half performance represented the type of performance we have been putting in for the season."
