At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren has put his faith in striker Aleksandar Mitrovic for the clash against relegation rivals West Bromwich Albion.

New signings Jonjo Shelvey and Andros Townsend also start at St James’ Park this afternoon while Rolando Aarons, the 20-year-old England under-20s star, is also entrusted with a starting berth.

Georginio Wijnaldum is given the opportunity the continue his fine debut season with the Magpies while Rob Elliot is in the net.

James Chester and Jonas Olsson continue as the central defensive pairing for the Baggies while Craig Gardner and Darren Fletcher add similar composure in the middle of the midfield.

Kick-off at St James’ Park is at 3pm.
