Micah Richards took to Twitter on Sunday to express the humour he found in watching Manchester United legend Roy Keane apply make-up before appearing on Sky Sports.

Former Man City defender Richards joined ex-Liverpool centre-back Jamie Carragher in providing punditry for the Premier League clash between the pair’s former sides, and the team was rounded out by Keane and Sky Sports host David Jones.

And Richards couldn’t contain his laughter while watching former United captain Keane sprucing up his appearance ahead of the broadcast.

“What have you got in your hands, Roy, mate?!” laughs Richards in a video posted on his Twitter account.

“I wish I knew!” replies Keane.

Richards continues through laughter, “look at the disgust in his face” – his reaction shared by Carragher and Jones.

Keane has always been known for his stern criticism of players, and tore into Kyle Walker for giving away a penalty in the 1-1 draw between City and Liverpool, branding the defender a “car crash”.

He also accused City striker Sergio Aguero  of “piling on the pounds” during the striker’s recovery from injury.
