Manchester United boast a strong lead of 12 points at the top of the table, but with the Red Devils losing to Norwich earlier in the season thanks to an Anthony Pilkington goal, Sir Alex Ferguson’s men will not take this fixture lightly.

The Real Madrid clash lined up for Tuesday evening may see the home side rest a few players, but Ferguson has explained that the strength and depth his side has will get them through a difficult fixture list.

Norwich will look to take advantage of United’s squad rotation and grab points to take back to Carrow Road. They are no strangers to picking up points from teams that are currently sitting above them, after grabbing vital points from Arsenal, Stoke, Tottenham and Everton.

KICK-OFF: Saturday, 3pm

PAST THREE MEETINGS...

Norwich 1 (Anthony Pilkington) Manchester United 0, Premier League, November 2012

Norwich 1 (Grant Holt) Manchester United 2 (Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs), Premier League, February 2012

Manchester United 2 (Anderson, Danny Welbeck) Norwich 0, Premier League, October 2011

STATS...

Manchester United’s unbeaten run stretches all the way back to their defeat in the Champions League against CFR Cluj on December 5. To find their last league defeat you have to go back to November 17, against the Canaries.

Norwich have only picked up one victory on their travels, that was against the Welsh side Swansea in a thrilling 4-3 win.

No team has scored more goals then the league leaders with 64 this season. Summer signing Robin Van Persie netting 19 of those goals himself.

If Norwich beat United this time around they will be the only team to get maximum points against Sir Alex Ferguson’s men this season.
