The former United star believes the Norwegian has made progress despite exiting the FA Cup last weekend

Beckham was teammates with the Norwegian over seven seasons at Old Trafford from 1996 to 2003.
While the Norwegian has guided the Red Devils to second in the Premier League, there was disappointment at the side’s exit at the Champions League group stage and last weekend’s FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Leicester.
But Beckham has leaped to the defence of Solskjaer, despite acknowledging recent criticism.
“I’ve seen some of the criticism but I suppose when you are a manager of Man United when they’ve had success over the years that they’ve had, there was always going to be a point where people get criticised, whether it’s the players, whether it’s the owners, whether it’s the manager,” Beckham told ESPN.

“Ole’s been in the game long enough to be able to take any kind of criticism. He’s very quiet, he gets on with his job, and I think he’s done an incredible job down at United.
“The results are starting to show that. Hopefully it continues because the fans love Ole, we all love Ole and we all want him to do well. So when the criticism comes, he’s one person that can take it.”
Solskjaer meanwhile admitted the international break could work in his side’s favour ahead of facing Brighton on 4 April after going down 3-1 to the Foxes.
On the break to the domestic schedule, Solskjaer said: “A change of scenery. Some go away with the national team-mates and some stay here and train.
“They’ve been at Carrington every single day, working together and training together every single day. So a change of scenery will do some of them good.
“They’ll come back for Easter Sunday [at home to Brighton & Hove Albion] and be ready to go again.”
