Manchester United's deadline day acquisition, Radamel Falcao, will begin on the bench today in the Premier League clash with Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford.

Fellow new arrivals, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind, however, both start for their United debuts.

The other expected United debutant, Luke Shaw, has recovered from a hamstring injury, and joins Falcao on the United bench.

Former United defender Rio Ferdinand started for QPR while Sandro and Niko Kranjcar made their first appearances since their deadline-day moves to Loftus Road.

Former captain Ferdinand spent 12 years with the club and returns to Old Trafford for the first time since moving to QPR on a free transfer during the summer.
