United host Manchester City at Old Trafford on the back of six defeats in their last eight games, but have the chance to derail their rival’s title charge.
During their recent slump under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, hallmarks of the collapse under Jose Mourinho have reemerged, with the Norwegian questioned if some of his players “care enough”.
Speaking ahead of the match, Keane claimed Pogba was at the root any dressing-room unrest: ”I wouldn’t believe a word he’s saying. There is no meaning in it. The guy is a talented boy but the number of times I have seen him in games and he is not sprinting back or running back. He is a problem.
“He mentioned body language and pride but I don’t see it in his performances, and my eyes don’t lie to me.
“You need more than just talent. The really top players make their teammates better. He just plays for himself.”
Gary Neville appeared to laugh before doubling down on Keane’s claims saying: ”I don’t think he wants to be here. I think his agent’s into him. We know his agent, we know the influence he’s had on him. He’s playing like somebody who’s had his head turned.
