Manchester United were held to a 1-1 by Arsenal on a grizzly night at Old Trafford after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang‘s chipped second-half equaliser.

A dull start to the game lacked quality on both sides until Scott McTominay broke the deadlock on the brink of half-time with a wicked shot from the edge of the box which took a slight deflection en route to the top corner.

However, Axel Tuanzebe gifted to the ball to Arsenal in his own third on the hour mark and Aubameyang stole in to chip over David De Gea to draw the two teams level.

A frantic half-an-hour followed with United and Arsenal both having chances as Bukayo Saka’s shot fizzed over the bar and Paul Pogba’s curled shot skimmed the outside of the post. However, after Marcus Rashford saw his stoppage-time free-kick well saved and substitute Reiss Nelson skewed wide, the shares were spoiled in Manchester.
