Your support makes all the difference. One Manchester United support has received replies from the club and Paul Pogba on Twitter after he hilariously described the moment his parents unknowingly shared a train carriage with the entire first team.
Nathan Patrick described sport as a “main part” of his life and his thread has been seen by over 15m people after his amusing story went viral.
His parents, who have “no interest” in sport were first alerted to the Manchester United squad on a train when they heard a group of people “making a bit of noise” playing the card game Uno.
Aware of their noise, Pogba approached Nathan’s parents and apologised for being loud before asking if they would like a photo. Not knowing who he was, the parents obliged and gave Pogba one of their phones for him to take a photo with them on the train.
Pogba replied: “No, no, no, I am asking if you would like a photo with me, sir?”
Nathan’s “mega-polite” father obliged and sent the photo to his son, asking: “Nathan, you wouldn’t happen to know who this is?”
In apparent bafflement, Nathan explained just who his parents had inadvertently asked to take a photo of them. “The man with his arm around Dad is Paul Pogba, the most expensive footballer in the world and World Cup winner with France,” he replied.
Pogba replied to Nathan’s thread on Twitter after hearing his parents then showed him pictures of a dog they found after they got off the train. “Man I need to see the dog,” said the United midfielder. “Say hi to your lovely folks for me!”
Nathan’s father noticed Pogba’s “red crocodile skin luggage” and his mother commented on their “scuffs with socks on.”
The thread that was posted on Twitter on Sunday has caught the attention of Manchester United and the club have offered the family tickets to their summer tour match in Australia against Perth Glory FC.
