At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Belgian sustained his ankle problem during the recent 2-1 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford and was forced to sit out of Friday’s 1-0 defeat at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Lukaku will also be sidelined for Thursday’s trip to West Ham United and Sunday’s meeting with Watford at Old Trafford but Jose Mourinho, the United manager, claimed that the 24-year-old has a chance of returning in the FA Cup final against Chelsea on 19 May.
Asked whether Lukaku would be fit to play against either West Ham or Watford, Mourinho said: “No,” adding on the Cup final, “That’s what we try.”
Marouane Fellaini is United’s other absentee for the trip to the London Stadium.
Lukaku’s compatriot was substituted during the second half of the defeat to Brighton and is now struggling with a muscular problem.
“Again we try to see if is possible for the last match [against Watford],” Mourinho said on Fellaini. “Apart from that [Phil] Jones is back, [Alexis] Sanchez is back and no more problems.”
