From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Ashley Young became the latest player to join the treatment room after picking up an injury during the 1-1 draw with Stoke City. The winger appears to have a hamstring problem and Louis van Gaal speculated that he could be out for "many weeks". If that turns out to be accurate it will be a massive blow for Manchester United with Young having been one of the most consistent performers in their current 10 game unbeaten run.
There had been some hope that Angel Di Maria would have been fit for the game at the Britannia on New Year's Day but the most expensive signing in British transfer history remains out and seems unlikely to make that return at Huish Park on Sunday.
Here, we round up all those who will or could be unavailable for the FA Cup third round fixture against Yeovil.
Manchester United will next be in Premier League action on Sunday 11 January against Southampton.
