Sergio Aguero is an injury concern for Manchester City's opening Champions League game against Juventus after picking up an injury against Crystal Palace.

The Argentinian striker was replaced after 25 minutes following a clattering knee-high tackle from Scott Dann.

Aguero was later seen on the bench, nursing his knee with an ice pack.

His removal from the field did, however, allow record signing Kevin De Bruyne to make his debut earlier than expected.

The blow came after Raheem Sterling withdrew from the matchday squad at Selhurst Park following a minor training ground knock.

David Silva, one of City's most effective players so far this season, was also ruled out of the Premier League clash with an ankle injury.

Coach Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping that both Sterling and Silva return for the visit of the Italian champions on Tuesday night. Aguero, however, now looks like a major doubt.
