From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Manchester City have officially launched their new home kit for the 2015/16 season.

Unlike the rumoured third kit - which hurts the eyes - the sky blue Nike number looks set to be one of the best in the Premier League next season.

Last season's design, with a plain blue round collar, was serviceable but not particularly inspiring.

American sportswear giant Nike has bounced back for the coming season with an extremely smart shirt that includes a white collar with buttons hidden beneath the placket and white trim.

A Nike statement read: "Inspired by classic Manchester City designs of the past, the club’s new home shirt kit blends timeless colors and detailing with Nike Football performance innovation to unite the club’s past and future with distinctive and sophisticated Mancunian style."

Supporters of the club were invited to attend the City Football Academy and spend time with the first team as the shirt was revealed.

The shirt is available to buy from the Manchester City club shop from 10 July.
