From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. It’s one of the biggest games of the season so far, as an in-form Manchester United face title-chasing Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

United bounced back from their defeat to PSG in the Champions League with an impressive win at Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday.

The Red Devils have won 11 out of 13 games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and will be looking to ruin Liverpool’s title bid on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side fought out a goalless draw against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, and come into this game with only one win in their last four matches.

This is Liverpool’s game in hand on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League. Currently level on points, the Reds will be looking to repeat their win against United in December in order to open up a three-point lead.

Manchester United vs Liverpool kicks off at 2:05pm (GMT) on Sunday 24 February.
