The Red Devils manager was spotted carrying what appeared to be a wine leaflet among his notes for the 2-1 win at Selhurst Park.
A picture of a bottle of wine can be seen along with the name of wine merchants Farr Vintners on a sheet of paper under the Dutchman's arm.
There has been much speculation on social media over why Van Gaal was carrying the leaflet among his tactical notes, with some suggesting it was simply an advertisement alongside the official team sheet.
Either way, Van Gaal will have likely toasted Manchester United's win, with the victory putting his side on the verge of Champions League qualification.
