Brendan Rodgers says he will be extending his contract as Swansea manager until the summer of 2015 within days. Last week chairman Huw Jenkins opened talks on improving the rolling one-year deal of the man who guided City to Premier League promotion in his first season at the club, and Rodgers confirmed: "We're pretty much there. Once the paperwork is done then hopefully over the course of the weekend [the three-year deal] will be agreed and everything signed. I'm very honoured to lead such a marvellous club."
