Moussa Sissoko is targeted by Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool but it is the latter who hold the advantage, according to L'Equipe.

However, according to the Newcastle Chronicle, the Magpies are yet to receive a solid offer for the French midfielder.

Nevertheless, the Toon are hoping to complete the signing of PSV Eindhoven midfielder and Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum as they are facing the possibility of losing some of their biggest names this summer.

The France international said: "With only one year to go until the Euros, you can’t change your club and find yourself on the bench.

“At the same time though, I want to play for one of the biggest clubs and I would especially like to play in the Champions League, something I can’t do at Newcastle.

“One day or another my time will come, I do though see myself staying in England.”

The 25-year-old has amassed 81 appearances at Newcastle and scored 10 goals, one being a redemptive header against West Ham which helped the team avoid relegation at the final day.
