Liverpool fans to be charged £73 for Roma away tickets

A total of 5,000 tickets are to be made available to purchase for travelling fans

Liverpool fans can expect to pay £73 for tickets for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Roma next month.

A total of 5,000 tickets are to be made available to purchase for travelling fans ahead of the clash at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico on 2 May.

The £73 fee marks a significant increase from the £44.50 figure Chelsea fans paid for their side’s group-stage game away at Roma.

Tickets will be made available online for Liverpool season ticket holders, official members and FanCard holders based on attendance at previous European away fixtures.

For those who have attended one or more of Liverpool’s European fixtures this season, tickets will be available to buy online from 1pm on Friday 20 April until 7am on Monday 23 April.

Normal season ticket holders who have not attended European fixtures this season will be able to purchase tickets between 8.15am and 1pm on Monday 23 April.

Additional security measures are set to be implemented for next month’s clash in the Italian capital.

The name of each Liverpool supporter attending the game will have to be written on the ticket purchased while provide proof of identification will also have to be provided at the stadium turnstiles to gain entry.

Before the trip to Rome, Liverpool host their Italian opponents at Anfield on 24 April.

This is the first time since 2008 that the Merseyside club have reached the last four of the Champions League.
