Liverpool have officially announced Nike as their new kit sponsor from the start of next season in what could amount to a English record.

The Reds will strengthen their ability to spend aggressively with the added financial backing following the end of their partnership with New Balance.

The multi-year partnership begins from June 1 this summer with managing director Billy Hogan insisting the brand matches the club's ambitions for growth.

It is just the latest example of the Reds growing under Jurgen Klopp both on and off the pitch into one of the biggest super clubs in the sport.
