Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confident of fending off interest in Luis Suarez

The new Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is extremely positive that his Uruguayan goal machine Luis Suarez want to stay at Anfield, after reports that he was linked with a move away to Juventus.
Suarez joined Liverpool from Ajax in 2011 and has put in match-winning performances time and time again. For this reason it is understandable that Rodgers would be desperate to keep his striker for at least one more season, if not more.
Rodgers happily explained: “I have had a brilliant chat with Luis. He’s really looking forward to being here.
He continued “We are obviously hoping we can get him on to another new contract. He's really looking forward to the new season."
Recent reports though are that the Serie A champions are prepared to make a very respectable offer to try and tempt the Reds into parting with their flamboyant striker.
Rodgers not only seems adamant he will keep hold of Suarez, but wants to make several addition to his side before the new season gets under way.
He said: "I'm looking forward to bringing in three or four players that can really affect the group. The reality is there are very few players who can come and make a difference to Liverpool."
