Your support makes all the difference.A young Liverpool goalkeeper has seen a season-long loan spell cut short after just nine matches after he paid a £50 fine for turning up late with a bank bags of pennies.
Lawrence Vigouroux had been impressing in League One Swindon Town but was sent back from the County Ground by manager Mark Cooper.
The 21-year-old was signed by Brendan Rodgers from Tottenham Hotspur last year and sent to Swindon to gain first-team experience.
But he fell foul of Cooper after turning up late for training last week, an offence that carries a £150 fine.
Senior players had the fine reduced to just £50 in a bid to help the youngster but, according to the Daily Mail, he then turned up with bank bags full of pennies.
"It’s an internal disciplinary matter. It’s come from me and the rest of the players," Cooper told the Mail.
He added: "It won’t [cause further issues], it’s been dealt with."
The Chilean goalkeeper then paid the full fine, in notes, but after being dropped to the bench for the defeat to Colchester, was sent back to Liverpool this week.
Swindon are in 17th in League One with 11 points from their nine games so far.
