Liverpool have denied making an approach for former Real Madrid and Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Reports have intensified this season that Brendan Rodgers' job is in jeopardy after the club's poor start to the season, but the club have moved quickly to dismiss stories emerging from today that they have made an approach for the Italian coach, who won the Premier League title with Chelsea in 2010.
