Your support makes all the difference.Lazar Markovic has hit out at former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, saying that he "did not have a good relationship" with the Northern Irishman.
Rodgers signed Markovic from Benfica for £20m in the summer of 2014, and criticised Rodgers for using him in a number of different positions last season, from left-winger to striker. He only started 11 Premier League games in total last term.
Markovic then left the Reds to join Turkish side Fenerbahce at the start of this season, and despite reports that recently-appointed manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to get the player back at Anfield, the Liverpool Echo have reported that the terms of his loan stipulate that he cannot be recalled this season.
“I didn’t have a good relationship with the coach,” Markovic told Portuguese newspaper A Bola. “That was a problem.
“I played in many positions but didn’t play in mine.”
Liverpool are back in action tonight in the Champions League, when they take on Rubin Kazan in Klopp's first home match in charge.
